Q. I'm looking at Sears, but I am overwhelmed with all the brands and choices. Which brand(s) has the best wall 30" ovens? I'm also looking for a great microwave to go above it. I'd like to get some good prices as well.
A. GE makes good appliances. Their industrial brand is GE Monogram and their prosumer brand is GE Profile. For the microwave, check out the GE's Advantium microwaves. They make Monogram and Profile versions. The Advantium combines a microwave with a halogen light for crisping and a true convection oven. One example of how you can use it is for cooking frozen chicken fingers. The microwaves cook the inside of the chicken while the halogen light crisps the outside. It also has smart reheat modes. Just check it out, you will love its features.
Refinishing Electric Stove Backguard?
Q. So in the midst of cleaning the kitchen, my girlfriend wanted to use Easy Off to clean the backguard of our stove in order to degrease it. I told her we shouldn't just in case it ruined it, since the backguard is in plain view. Well she did it, and it ruined it.
The part that is ruined is the top part of the backguard, so not the part that houses the switches to the burners, but the top cover of it. I believe the material is aluminum and used to have a gloss black finish. Now its got a matte dark grey color to it. Is there a kind of paint or polish I can use to restore glossy black finish?

A. Talk to someone in an appliance store. You might be able to get it painted. Tell your girlfriend - When in doubt, read the instructions!
Moving into first apartment, tips!?
Q. Hi!
My partner and I are moving into our first apartment from living with my parent.
The apartment comes with nothing, no fridge, cooker, washer or furniture.
What is the best way to get everything done? Which order do we buy things in, bed, fridge, cooker etc?
Can it all be arranged to arrive on a Saturday so we are both there?
Does anyone have any tips for us as we've never done this before!
Thanks :)
Oh, also, when do I need to contact utilities and broadband providers etc?

A. First of all the landlord must supply you with a fridge, stove & sometimes washing machine unless you have purchased the house yourself and you own it, then yes its your responsibility. Anyways the first thing you will need to purchase is a bed. I would then purchase all the kitchen appliances fridge, stove, cooking utensils, kitchen appliances. I would then buy a T.V as well as couches and all other living room accessories. You should probably also get a dresser and night stands for your bedroom and a dining table would be suitable. That covered since you are moving in on Saturday I would have already contacted your necessary utilities services. All you will have to do is inform them with the date your moving in as well as your information and new address. Do this immediately so if they need to come into the apartment to set up anything then they can set up a time on the saturday and you wont be left days without cable etc. Other then that, good luck.
